Founded in 1994, Tremble Clefs is a national program for those with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s disease can often affect the throat, causing a decreased volume in speech and trouble swallowing. Evening Support Group
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachThe Alzheimer & Parkinson Association hosts a Caregiver Support Group every month on the last Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. This group was designed for caregivers who cannot attend other support groups during the working hours of the day. This group is a safe, non- judgmental place for caregivers of those with loved ones with various forms of dementia or movement disorders to gather and support one another.
Support Group for those with loved ones in a Facility
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachThe diagnosis of a memory disorder can be a daunting experience for both the caregiver and the patient. This can be especially true when your loved on is in a facility. This support group is unique in that it is designated for a caregiver whose loved one is in an facility. This group meets on Zoom every month on the third Tuesday of the month at 1:00 p.m. please call for Zoom details if interested in attending.
Caregiver Support Group
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachThe Alzheimer & Parkinson Association hosts a Caregiver Support Group every month on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. This group was designed as a safe, non- judgmental place for caregivers of those with loved ones with various forms of dementia or movement disorders to gather and support one another.
Memory Fitness for those with Movement Disorders
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachThose diagnosed with movement disorders sometimes fear memory loss is soon to follow. This class was designed to teach those with movement disorders techniques on how to keep their memory sharp through the use of brain games, mental stimulation, and fun! This class takes place each month on the third Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. via Zoom. Please call for Zoom information if you wish to attend.
AD Support Group
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachThe Alzheimer and Parkinson Association hosts an Alzheimer’s Disease Support Group once a month on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 2:00 p.m. This group is facilitated by Vicki Drumheller MS, RN, BC, CCM and focuses on support and education through the journey of caregiving for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia.
Chair Yoga
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachChair Yoga is a great movement program for those with movement disorders as well as their caregivers. This program involves stretching, breathing techniques, improving balance and is a great tool to relieve stress. The program was designed especially for seniors and those with movement disorders. Every Wednesday at 3:00 pm.
VBMA Movement in the Moment
Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero BeachThis program was designed for our Social Respite Group for those with memory disorders in partnership with the Vero Beach Museum of Art. It utilizes music, dance, laughter, and motion to promote physical and emotional well being. Caregivers are welcome to join in and participate in the program also. This program takes place every Wednesday at our Indian River Shores location at 11:30 a.m. and every Friday at our Vero Beach location at 1:00 p.m.
