Social Respite Program

The Alzheimer and Parkinson Association of IRC offers a social respite program for those in our community who are affected by a memory disorder.

This program benefits you as the caregiver and your loved one. For your loved one, he or she is validated with social interaction that is met at his or her level in a high-spirited and fun-loving environment. The caregiver gets some time for respite care and peace of mind knowing that their loved one is at a place where they are surrounded by caring individuals who offer a loving environment.

In addition to the social respite group held at the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association in Vero Beach, programs are also held at Indian River Shores, Gifford Community Center, IG Center and Sebastian. These offsite locations offer convenience to those caregivers in Indian River County who need a respite program closer to home.

This is a list of our local FREE social respite program days by location. Individual assessment and scheduling is required and will be completed once the below social respite application has been completed and delivered to Alzheimer and Parkinson Association.
