Activity Kits

Activity Kits are provided by the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association for free to caregivers looking to provide engaging activities in the privacy of their own home. Each kit was designed and assembled locally by the staff of the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association with care. There are 8 different themed kits to choose from based on the interests of your loved one.

  • The Homemaker

This kit was designed for those who have a history of being in the home and doing household chores. This kit may include items like socks for pairing, towels for folding, an arts & crafts project, etc.

  • Music Lover

This kit was designed for music lovers to lift the spirits. Each kit may include a musical instrument, a craft project to make your own instrument, trivia, etc.

  • Keep it Moving

This kit was designed with fitness in mind. Each kit will include fitness items like a resistance band, tennis ball, etc.

  • Nature Lover

This kit was designed for the person to get a dose of nature and the outdoors. Each kit will include an outdoor project such as gardening, or a nature themed craft project.

  • The Artist

This kit was designed for the creative soul. Each kit will include multiple small art projects that may include paints, canvas, colored pencils, art therapy book, etc.

  • Pet Therapy

This kit was designed for pet lovers. This kit is a tactile kit that may include different forms of faux fur to pet, a stuffed animal, animal puzzle, etc. 

  • The Worker

This kit was designed for participants who like to work with their hands. This kit may include items such as a nuts & bolts organizing project, a wooden crafts, dominoes/cards, etc.

  • Healing Touch

This kit was designed with the caregiver and loved one in mind. It teaches the importance of touch. It features a variety of tactile items, aromatherapy, and sensory stimulation.
