Warning Signs of Parkinson’s is a one-hour presentation that is hosted by the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association at various locations throughout the county. Caregiving 101 Class

Alzheimer & Parkinson Association 2300 5th Ave Suite 150, Vero Beach

Caregiving 101 was designed by the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association for caregivers of loved ones in the various stages of neurologic disorders. This class is constructed of 6 separate classes covering a variety of the different aspects of caregiving. The class reviews the basics of caregiving on subjects like activities of daily living, behaviors, nutrition, activities, communication, and more. This class takes place each Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This class comes with a booklet with information about each course and can be attended in a flexible capacity based on the needs of the caregiver. Please call for more information or to register for this free class. Available for caregivers of loved ones with dementia or for caregivers of loved ones with movement disorders.

Total Memory Workout

This class will take place at Northern Trust Bank on the corner of Beachland Blvd and A1A. The Total Memory Workout is a class developed by Dr. Cynthia Green for the cognitively well senior. It is a four-week class series that offers individuals an opportunity to learn about memory, a brain-healthy lifestyle and how to practice “memorcises” to build memory muscle. It features 8 Easy Steps to Maximum Memory Fitness. Please call us for more information or to sign up for this Free 4 Week Class Series offered in various locations around the county.

Total Memory Workout in Spanish

This class will be conducted in Spanish at the Fellsmere Community Center. The Total Memory Workout is a class developed by Dr. Cynthia Green for the cognitively well senior.
