Social Respite Program
The Alzheimer and Parkinson Association of IRC offers a social respite program for those in our community who are affected by a memory disorder.
This non-medical program benefits you as the caregiver and your loved one. For your loved one, they are validated with social interaction that is met at their level in a high-spirited and fun-loving environment. The caregiver gets some time for respite and peace of mind knowing that their loved one is at a place where they are surrounded by caring individuals who offer a warm and inviting environment.
In addition to the social respite group held at the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association in Vero Beach, programs are also held at Indian River Shores, Gifford Community Center, and Sebastian. These offsite locations offer convenience to those caregivers in Indian River County who need a respite program closer to home.
