Sebastian Social Respite Group

Sebastian Yacht Club 820 Indian River Dr, Sebastian

Sebastian Social Respite Group is Free and available to all those who experience cognitive impairment so that they can engage in stimulating social activities and caregivers can have the respite needed during this time.   The Sebastian Respite Group will be available from 9am-3pm every Thursday at the Sebastian Yacht Club.  We ask that the caregivers bring lunch for their loved one.  There are eligibility requirements upon registration.  Please call our offices for any questions:  772-563-0505.

A social group for individuals with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, where caregivers can have six hours of respite knowing their loved one is in a safe and fun environment!  If you are staying for the full day, please bring a bagged lunch.

Join us for a balance class tailored to the special needs of seniors and those with movement disorders. This standing and chair-style class has many benefits which may include: increased muscle strength and tone, decreased risk of falling, improved endurance and weight management. Judy Cornell, a personal trainer who has worked for Sport and Spine for many years, is the instructor of the class each week. The class is designed to suit all, despite different abilities and function levels. We encourage all to take part in this free class that has both mental and physical benefits!
