Get Involved

The Alzheimer & Parkinson Association is a community-minded not-for-profit organization that relies on the time and talent of volunteers who help with a variety of projects and programs ranging from administrative tasks to help to oversee some of our programs such as the Dementia Experience or assist with our social respite programs.

Would you like to help us make a difference for those with memory or movement disorders?

Volunteer opportunities include:

Administrative Help

With only a limited number of office staff members, the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association can always use administrative assistance such as photocopying, computer work, organizing brochures, pamphlets, and library materials, answering phones, and help with mailings.

Community Outreach

There are many opportunities throughout Indian River County to educate the public about the resources at the Alzheimer & Parkinson Association. Occasionally, we might need extra help with attending health fairs, staff an informational table at community events, or even be trained to be a spokesperson for the organization.

Alzheimer & Parkinson Association also needs extra assistance for our special events and educations seminars/conferences such as the Walk to Remember and Day of Hope.

Program Volunteers

For those who prefer to have more interaction with our clients, we need volunteers to help with programs such as our Dementia Experience, Project Lifesaver, Memory Screening, and social respite groups.
